Fall 2025 Programs
Culinary Creations
The Culinary Creations program gives children the opportunity to explore new recipes, develop confidence in the kitchen and learn the value of healthy eating. Through hands-on cooking activities, participants gained practical skills while having fun and working together in a supportive environment.

Girls Connect
A program for girls ages 6–12 to come together, have fun, and build meaningful friendships. Each week, girls will explore self-care, empowerment, and connection through fun activities in a safe and supportive space. It’s all about learning, growing, and lifting each other up.

Boys Connect
A program for boys ages 6–12 to come together in a safe and supportive space. Each week, boys will have the chance to develop friendships, build strong bonds, grow in confidence, and learn new skills through fun and engaging activities. It’s all about connection, growth, and empowerment!

Homework Heroes
Homework Heroes is an after-school program designed to help students in Grades 1–4 build strong learning habits in a fun and supportive environment! Each week, kids get the chance to work on their homework with caring staff and volunteers who are there to guide and encourage them.

Word Up
Offered by The Journey, the Word Up Literacy Program helps students grades 2-3 build reading, writing, and language skills in a fun and engaging way. Sessions run every Monday and Thursday from 11:05 to 11:45 AM at Sir Winston Churchill Public School (89 Ardglen Dr., Brampton, ON L6W 1V1).

Fearless and Flawless – Women’s Support Group
The Fearless & Flawless Women’s Support Group is a safe and welcoming space where women come together to connect, share, and support one another. Through fun activities, conversations, and workshops, the group encourages women to build confidence, find their voice, and strengthen community bonds.
This is a free, drop-in program – no pre-registration required. Join us, enjoy some light snacks, and take part in meaningful discussions and uplifting activities. Childminding is available on-site so mothers can participate with ease.

The Living Well Club – An Intergenerational Social Program
The Living Well Club is a welcoming, intergenerational social program that brings together participants of all ages—from children to seniors to connect, share, and engage in fun activities. Through light physical activities, games, creative projects, and conversations, the program fosters meaningful connections, social interaction, and active living.
This is a free, monthly drop-in program-no pre-registration required. Enjoy light snacks and refreshments, and take part in engaging activities. Childminding is available so families can join with ease. Keep an eye on our WhatsApp update channel or Instagram for session updates.

Community Action Group
The Journey’s Community Action Group (CAG), funded by the United Way, collaborates with community members, leaders, residents, organizations, and businesses to build a Healthy, Sustainable Community.
Our mission is to bring hope and transformation to the Ardglen-Orenda and Peel communities, supporting children, youth, and families as they take positive steps in their lives. We focus on creating a self-sustaining Community Action Group by identifying and training local leaders.
What we do: Organize community events, workshops, and initiatives; support local projects; and empower residents to lead positive change in their neighbourhood.

Mind Unwind Mental Health Check-In
A safe, supportive, and stigma-free space for community members to connect for a 30-minute confidential, non-clinical check-in. Sessions offer active listening, emotional support, and connections to professional and community resources.

Monthly Workshops
The Journey X FA Peel – Thursdays · Once a Month
The Journey and Friends & Advocates Peel are offering monthly workshops designed to support community members in building confidence, connection, and community. Each session creates a safe, welcoming space to participate in meaningful conversations and creative activities that encourage personal growth and emotional well-being.
These workshops are free and drop-in, so you’re welcome to join at any time. Light snacks are provided, and childminding is available on-site to make participation easier for mothers.
