The Journey’s Walk for Hope!

North Bramalea United Church and The Journey Neighbourhood Centre will be launching our fundraiser walk in support of The Journey.
“We live in challenging times!” – food insecurity, sky-rocketing housing costs, precarious employment and the continuing fallout of a global pandemic.
Since 2013, The Journey Neighbourhood Centre has been addressing the needs and struggles of the Ardglen/Orenda community in Brampton and food, employment and housing are just some of the hardships faced by the residents.
The Journey’s Walk for Hope is The Journey Neighbourhood Centres’ signature fundraising event. It is an opportunity to enjoy a family friendly outing, while raising funds to support the work of The Journey Neighbourhood Centre.
“A Family Friendly Walk and a BBQ!” – The walk will start at Noon at North Bramalea United Church (363 Howden at Vodden) and end 4.2kms later at The Journey Neighbourhood Centre (9 Ardglen), where we will have a community BBQ to celebrate!
“You can get involved!” – The Journey’s Walk for Hope is a great way for you to get involved in supporting your community, through supporting the work of The Journey. There are plenty of ways to participate:
- Volunteer – we need volunteers to help on the day of the event
- Walk – we need people to walk, to create teams and to ask for support.
- Donate – we need people to donate, either by supporting a team or as an individual
- Sponsorship – we need companies in our community to sponsor the walk.

Event Day – Sunday, September 22, 2024
The Journey’s Walk For Hope starts at North Bramalea United Church. We leaving at Noon, so:
- show up early to sign in,
- get your swag
- and final instructions.
The route is simple:
We are walking west on Vodden to Centre and then south on Centre to Ardglen and then along Ardglen to The Journey Neighbourhood Centre (9 Ardglen), where we will celebrate with a Community BBQ
