Community Meeting – Monday at 6:30pm!

Tomorrow is the Community Meeting at Sir Winston Churchill Public School at 6:30pm. It is going to be a great evening, with lots of information and opportunities to talk with many people from many agencies. Here is just the list of exhibitors:
 
Region of Peel – Human Services
The Region of Peel provides a wide variety of services to community residents, including; supports for housing and homelessness, early learning and childcare, social assistance and employment supports.
 
Eclypse Youth Centre
ECLYPSE is a multi-service youth drop-in centre for 12-24 year olds living in Brampton
They direct services to youth who would have difficulty with accessing services through the more traditional approaches in the social services, education, employment and health sectors.
 
Centre for Education and Training
Centre for Education & Training provides opportunities that enhance career development and personal growth. They offer employment services, settlement information services, settlement language services and youth programs.
 
Big Brothers
Big Brothers Big Sisters offers a wide range of mentoring opportunities to meet the varied needs of volunteers, children & youth and their families.
 
United Achievers
United Achievers is committed to strengthening and enhancing the quality of life of families and individuals, by providing culturally sensitive programs, support, resources, education and training.
 
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty.
 
Knights Table
Knights Table helps by providing food bank, hot meals and other services to the people of Brampton who deal with the daily issues of hunger, poverty and homelessness.
 
Sai Dham Food Bank
Sai Dham Food Bank works with individual families in the Region of Peel and Greater Toronto area to provide food. Food is delivered at the door step for no cost to you for free. They target frail and elderly seniors and the physically and mentally challenged.
 
Associated Youth Services of Peel
AYSP is a team of professionals and volunteers dedicated to helping children, youth and families manage mental health and/or justice issues in order to realize their potential and encourage their contribution to community.
 
Child Family Learning
Child and Family Learning Centres provide an informal and welcoming learning environment for parents and caregivers with children from birth to age four. These centres help children to learn literacy, numeracy and social skills through a variety of activities, and prepare children for school.
 
Bloom Clinic
Bloom Clinic works collaboratively with clients in a community integrated manner to offer holistic care with the goal of improving physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
 
The Canadian Council on Rehabilitation
The Canadian Council on Rehabilitation provides youth with the Future Program. The program is a 23-week pre-employment skills development program that provides youth with disabilities the pre-employment skills necessary to enter today’s workforce
 
Hope 24/7
Hope 24/7 has an aim to assist those individuals who have experienced traumatic interpersonal violence, and to provide violence prevention programming so that we can actualize our vision of a community without relationship and sexual violence.
 
Life’s Poetry Community Empowerment
Life’s Poetry Community Empowerment is a non-profit organization that allows youth to express freedom of speech in everyday challenges, through life’s journey, using a collection of poems.
