I had never heard of a “Polar Vortex” until a couple of years ago, and to be quite honest, if that phrase was never a part of my vocabulary, I would not be disappointed. It has been cold outside, really cold, very cold, ridiculously cold! And, if you are like me, you have been avoiding going outside as much as possible.
But, there is good news! It is going to warm up this weekend. In fact, if the weather forecasts are to be believed, it is going to be Plus 5 degrees by Sunday!
So, if you are going stir crazy sitting in your living room shivering. Come on out this Sunday to The Sunday Gathering. Breathe in some nice warm outside air and come and hear a heart warming message delivered live by our special guest speaker – Brian.
I guarantee that this Sunday will do your body and soul some good!
As always: 10:30am for food and friends and 11:00am for worship and inspiration.

The Journey is thrilled to be once again hosting Toys For Tots! This Sunday from 1-4pm families in our neighbourhood will be bringing their children for a gift, a visit with Santa and lots of great goodies.
This week at the Sunday Gathering we have a guest speaker – Duane Whittey. Duane was one of the driving forces behind the creation of The Journey Neighbourhood Centre. He was on the streets of Ardglen/Orenda talking with people, reaching out and finding out what the needs, issues and challenges were. Duane is going to talk about How Far We’ve Come since those days before The Journey opened. We guarantee that he has stories that you have never heard or known about before. So come out Sunday, October 21 for an engaging morning of stories and inspiration. As always: 10:30am – Food and Friends 11:00am – Worship and Inspiration
