March Madness at The Journey has started. Yesterday was music day and today is sports day!
As many of you know, the site of the old Peel Memorial hospital is right within our Ardglen/Orenda community. Last night a fire broke out in the midst of the new hospital construction. Fortunately, no one was injured and at this time the fire is out. The smoke billowed over Ardglen, which for a community still recovering from the trauma of last year’s fire, has brought back many memories.
We received some sad news that Dylan Keast passed away on the weekend. Dylan was a resident of 59 Ardglen and on the night of the fire he went through the halls pounding on people’s doors and waking them up. Dylan was a friend of The Journey and maintained contact with us since then. He will be missed. We don’t have any information on funeral arrangements, so if you hear anything please let us know. This is an article about him: Sun: Dylan Keast
This is just a reminder that our regular planning is on hold this week for March Break. We will see you next week. And, for those who have signed up for March Break Madness – we will see you tomorrow!
Starting on Tuesday, March 24 at 3:30pm The Journey will be offering a fantastic program – Empowering Against Exploitation. This program is designed to empower girls to take control of their lives and their bodies. For more information check this page out: Empowering Against Exploitation
There is always lots going on at The Journey. We have a calendar page, that we do our best to always keep up-to-date. Check it out today!
