This coming Monday, June 8th will be the one year anniversary of the tragic 59 Ardglen fire. The Journey is holding a prayer vigil and reception that evening from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Everyone is invited to come to remember and to share this time of support together.

On Tuesday, June2/15 a support group for the parents of children with learning disabilities is meeting at The Journey. This is an opportunity to share ideas about education, technology, behavior management and looking at community supports.
This meeting will include guest speaker from The City of Brampton Parks and Recreation to discuss summer programs.

This evening, Tuesday, May 26th, at 6:30pm The Journey is hosting a family fire safety meeting put on by Brampton Fire and Emergency services. A representative from the Brampton Fire Services will be here to talk about everything you need to know to keep your family safe. This will be an important informative evening. Refreshments will be served and there will be some really great door prizes. And, if not on call, a fire engine will visit The Journey.
The Community in Action Committee will be meeting at 7:00pm on Monday, May 25th. This is an opportunity for residents of the Ardglen/Orenda community to talk about the issues that they are facing and to hear from various social service professionals.
On Tuesday, May 26th at 6:30pm, The Journey will be hosting a community event on Fire Safety. A representative from the Brampton Fire Services will be here to talk about family fire safety. This will be a great informative evening. Refreshments will be served and there will be some really great door prizes.
The Empowering Against Exploitation group would like to invite you to a special event bringing awareness of sexual exploitation in our communities.
The girls have been learning about exploitation and have gained a wealth of knowledge that they want to share with their community. The evening will include a presentation from the youth as well as guest presenters who are working to combat commercial sexual exploitation in Peel.
Grades 8 and up are welcome. Light refreshments.
We have received word that the concert on Tuesday at Sir Wilfred Laurier is a go. The teacher’s job action will not affect the event. So, that is Tuesday, May 12th at 6pm. The concert is free!
